Large Handmade Steel Sculpture "Speak No Evil"

About the Item

A large steel statue of a hand cut figural mask with lively wire hair in a mottled dark antique gold / brass painted finish with a slightly textured surface. Wiener Werkstatte, Hagenauer style with decorative eyelashes, exotic shaped eye cut-outs, elongated nose and lobed ears. The base has a raised inscription "Speak no Evil" Signed indecipherably. The statue is can be viewed as poetic, kinetic and politically motivated. Can be used in an Avant garde, Modernist, Art Deco, Minimalist or Africanist inspired home. The base footprint measures 9" round.
