Later 17th century wood sculpture of St. Sebastian, Spanish. An extraordinarily moving piece of Spanish Baroque sculpture. Only the gesso traces remain of the original highly painted surfaces. Acquired by the current owner in 1997 in Puerto Rico and brought to NYC for conservation work. Conservation repairs have been left natural. 55" h., 18" w., 14" d.
