The piece depicts a rounded mermaid with a little girl sitting on her, both on a turtle's shell. The mermaid is depicted with green fins on her legs and head, as is the case with the little girl. The turtle has a realistically detailed shell and is painted in shades of green and brown. The figurine features a soft, pastel color palette characteristic of the Lenci style.
