About the Item

Matched Pair of 19th Century Hand Carved Pine Angelic Figures A charming, matched pair of mid-19th Century hand carved pine angelic figures. With inserted glass eyes mounted on bespoke displays. It’s likely these figures would have once had wings attached, as the remnants of 2 small holes are present to the upper backs. Dimensions in inches: H 9” x W 3” x D 2” Age:1850 Origin: Unknown Condition: Aged Aged wear and tear across all the surfaces due to obvious use over the years. Areas of worn surface include loss of painted detail as shown in the photos provided, one of the figures is missing half an arm, and remnants of gum glue across the other shoulder which has hardened over the years. Numerous fingers on both fingers are missing. With a lovely natural deep patina across all surfaces. Natural aged wooden cracks across the surfaces also, which chips to the painted detail. Firm in form and in one piece. We strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase. A direct message usually takes 24 hours to answer. For multiple years we have sold antique items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items only restored due to breaks and major loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
