Max Blondat French Art Nouveau Sculpture, " Bébé au maillot"

This superb sculpture was created by Max Blondat, a talented sculptor of the early 20th century whose numerous collaborations with manufacturers have resulted in a production as hybrid as it is unique. A swaddled baby, squeezing a ball, forms the body of the object in the upper part while a functional cavity used to pour hot water adorns the base. The delicate nuances of brown sandstone reveal an expert work; the emblematic finesse of an undisputed master of the Art Nouveau - Art Deco period.
