About the Item

Antique (late 19th century) patinated bronze bust of Mignon after the original model by Eugène Antoine Aizelin (1821-1902). 22 by 14 by 11 inches and in very good condition. Signed EUG. AIZELIN. Mignon is the title character in the opera comique introduced in 1866 by the French composer Ambroise Thomas (1811-1896).
