Marble sculpture by Sylvia Westfallen. This sculpture represents the profile of a woman with black hair, seen from the side. The composition is made with different types of marble, carefully polished, cut and applied to a square base in a light beige tone. The dark, straight, loose hair is made of black stone with white veins, contrasting with the fair skin and delicate features of the face. The woman wears a headband and wears an earthy-toned blouse.

Sylvia Beatriz Teresa Westphalen Ortiz (Rome, 1961) is an artist recognized worldwide for her sculpture work and one of João Cutileiro's most brilliant and talented students. He lived in the cities of Lisbon, Lagos, Évora, Mexico City and Lima, where he currently lives and works.
