Pair Of Continental 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Bronze And Marble Statues

About the Item

A remarkable and high quality pair of Continental 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and Rouge Griotte marble statues, attributed to J. Feiffer. Each statue is raised by a fine Rouge Griotte marble base with a rounded front. The impressive bronze statues above depict beautiful finely detailed maidens draped in elegant flowing period attire leaning and sitting on pedestals. Each is wearing charming sandals with their hair tied and braided. One maiden has a snake wrapped around her hand while the other is holding a dagger in its sheath. All original warm and rich patina throughout.
