True Pair Of French 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Ormolu And Bronze Statues
About the Item
An elegant and high quality true pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. Ormolu and patinated Bronze statues, signed Paul Dubois. Each beautiful maiden is raised by an Ormolu and patinated Bronze stepped platform with a curved front. Each maiden is leaning on an Ormolu pedestal with mottled edges and their flowing garments draped atop. One of the maidens is holding flowers while the other is holding a branch that supports the wonderful detailed butterfly perched on the other side. Both maidens have their hair tied back with Ormolu headbands displaying smooth central cabochons.
