Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Ormolu Cherub Signed Statues
About the Item
A charming pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu cherub signed statues. The pair are raised by ormolu bun feet below a square Rouge Griotte marble base with mottled border. Above are the sweet ormolu cherubs, one lifting a drum behind his head and wearing a grapevine garland around his waist. The other cherub has a draped garment, billowing in the wind, with his two arms up in the air. Fine gilding throughout.
