About the Item
This vintage pair of patinated bronze Art Deco bookends date from the early 20th century. The sculptor Isidor Konti masterfully created this pair of partially nude muscular young men dressed only in a skimpy Loin cloth. Each of these detailed figures is displayed standing in a rigid controlled crouch, on a low solid bronze platform base. Each base is signed I. Konti. Condition is excellent.
