About the Item
R. Lullier (pseudonym of D.H. Chiparus) Sculpture circa 1920 of "The Reader and her Greyhound" mantle sculpture.
This is a bronze patinated spelter sculpture with Ivorine hands and face on a marble base. Ivorine is a synthetic substance made from cellulose nitrate and was often used in conjunction with spelter by other prominent Art Deco sculptors.
