About the Item
A rare, whimsical and unusual hand embossed washing machine agitator made for the 1937 model Thor washing machine. This clever design was ahead of its time. can sit flat or be wall mounted. Made by the Hurley Machine Co of Chicago. Hurley was the first company to commercially produce an electric washing machine in the US. The last picture is of a similar one featured in the book "Out of Hand" A collectors passion.
