Unique Vintage Metal Boot Sculpture, Dora Foundry, Turkey, Mid-20th Century
A highly detailed vintage sculpture modeled in the form of a desert boot, cast in silvered metal with remarkable attention to texture, stitching, sole, and lace eyelets. Stamped “Dora” to the underside, the piece was produced by the Dora Foundry in Turkey during the mid-20th century, a workshop known for its finely executed metal castings, decorative objects, and novelty items. Retaining its industrial, utilitarian character, the boot conveys the appearance of a foundry or workshop casting. Its solid weight and crisp surface detail suggest it may have been conceived as a decorative object, possibly for use as a shop display, conversation piece, or whimsical paperweight. The interior bears traces of oxidation consistent with age, adding to its vintage authenticity.
