About the Item
A well cast patinated bronzed metal statue of Napoleon Bonaparte in full military garb on his horse Marengo. The statue is ona faux speckled green marble metal base.
The statue came from the collection of a certain Madame Brassine a Braine - L' Alleud a noted Belgian historian and an avid collector of Napoleonic memorabilia. The historian was very involved in the founding of the fully immersive Memorial Museum 1815 in Waterloo, inaugurated in 2015.
The statue is listed as cast of bronzed metal out of an abundance of caution. The metal is non ferrous as it is not magnetic and could actually be a type of bronze.
