About the Item
This plaster statue by Charles-Alexandre Filleul (1856–1907) comes from an artist’s studio.
It is a unique piece, a preparatory work—most likely intended for casting in bronze—commonly referred to as a studio plaster.
In terms of condition, please note several issues: the head and fan have been reattached, there are losses behind the neck, small rusty pins at the back, marks and surface dirt. There is visible patina wear, a chip on the nose, holes at the left elbow, and a rusted rod protruding from the right shoulder. The base has been reinforced with rusted metal rods.
Despite these flaws, the piece remains visually appealing, but we aim to be transparent in our descriptions.
