Offered for sale is monumental solid teak carved figurative sculpture by the Cuban American artist Ramon Barales (b 1974, Cuba). The very tall sculpture is presented upon a granite base. The teak is signed with the monogram RB and is dated '03. Barales was born in Cuba in 1974 and began his art studies at an early age at the Olga Alonzo School of Vocational Arts in the province of Santa Clara. He graduated in 1993 from the prestigious National School of the Arts in Havana with degrees in sculpture and drawing. He works in several mediums including wood, clay, metal, glass, and stone.
