Tolla Inbar 1998 “Ambitions”

About the Item

A large massive bronze by the noted German born Israeli artist Tolla Inbar. Titled “Ambition” signed and dated 1998. It is numbered 5/9 although were not quite sure how many in this series were produced. From the Enlarging rope series. Beautiful patina. Wear to the base form being outside around the bronzing welds particularly. Marks and accretions from weathering.

The measurements below are for the sculpture on the pedestal. The actual sculpture itself measures as follows: 64.75 inches tall, 39 inches wide and 20 inches wide. Dimensions given below are for the sculpture on the pedestal. This sculpture can be used indoors or outdoors.     Important pair of sculptures depicting Achello and Helena (mythological famous figures) in bronze, made with the lost-wax technique, dating from the 19th century (second half of the 1800s but made in the Empire style).
