About the Item
This turn of the century marble composite cast version of Venus after Bertel Thorvaldsen is in a wonderful state of decay. Over time she has lost both hands and acquired a wonderful patina. The base pictured is not available.
There are several cracks including above her left knee but seems to be stable as she has been moved several times since she has been in our possession. All details are fine, and her state of incompleteness add to her charm.
Wonderful every way you look at it.
