Viennese Bronze, 'Sacrifice Of Cleopatra' by Bergmann, Around 1920

About the Item

The beautiful oriental half-nude with curly hair, headdress and long, softly falling skirt lying on a chaise longue with hieroglyphic inscriptions and leading a snake to her chest with her left hand. The figure is painted in color, 'Nam Greb' & urn signet on the back of the backrest. Excellent and detailed quality of the composition, very lifelike representation, as is typical for Viennese bronze art. Manufactured ca. 1920 by Vienna Bronze Manufactory Bergmann Bronze modeling, casting, patinated and cold painted Dimensions: Height: 17.5 cm / 6.88 in Width: 24.0 cm / 9.44 in Depth: 12.0 cm / 4.72 in Total weight: 2520 grams / 88.70 oz / 81.02 troy oz Very well maintained condition.
