Vintage Bronze Cast of a Human Skull 1:1, 1950s

About the Item

A 1:1 cast model of a human skull in patinated bronze. Its made from a cast of a real human skull, probably female, and is complete with teeth, lower- and upper jaw. This particular example shows patina and ware. The skull as a symbol serves as a reminder of human mortality - memento mori. Made in Europe circa 1930-60 and its Indistinguishable marked: Leblac or Le Blance. Possibly distributed via the American retailer Maxilla and Mandible Ltd. in New York during the 50s. Measurements: 21 x 14 x 11 cm. Free World wide express shipping.
