Artistically carved sculpture of newly weds from 1940-1950.
This beautifully executed and romantic sculpture is of a madly in love Balinese male and female. This all-handcarved out of a dense hardwood work of art has the most beautiful and warm patina. This rare & unusually intimate sculpture is in excellent condition and it must has taken a skilled craftsman an enormous amount of time, focus and dedication to create. The 'Loro Blonyo' is given to newly weds at a wedding to secure a long and happy marriage. The serene and happy faces, the natural way the cloth is draped around the body's and the polished surface are some of the elements that make this remarkable work of art a real eye-catcher and a joy to own and look at.
