About the Item
A monumental piece hand-tooled from a trunk-slice of cherry wood. While its backside has a natural look - with a 'golden' patinated surface its showside showcases a rather skillfully executed mother breastfeeding her child. The very pure and innocent post-birth symbiosis between a mother and her child. It was made by an unknown Swedish Folk artist/sculptor circa 1950-70.
