A stainless steel sphere with a yellow plastic interior designed by Gio Pomodoro for Alessi in 1972. Along with his brother Arnaldo Pomodoro, Gio (1930-2002) was a highly regarded Italian avant-garde sculptor. Both also were acclaimed jewelry designers and printmakers. Script signature of artist. Also marked: Alessi d'Apres AG 308.
