"Madonna and Child, " Lovely Art Deco/Mid-Century Tile
About the Item
This unique, sculpted tile by Lazzarini, an Italian sculptor in Syracuse, Sicily, captures some of the beauty and gravity of Renaissance nativity scenes. Finished in a lovely, mid-century aqua glaze, the tile captures the heavy-lidded placidity of an Art Deco woman, and her aureole radiates outward, encompassing the Christ child.
