Antique Pre-Columbian Mounted Bird Form Artifacts

About the Item

Beautiful set of two pre-Columbian bird form artifacts. One finely carved bird head stone mounted on primitive wood base, in antique condition with no major breaks. Mounted with what appears to be a resin or epoxy to prevent any movement. The other piece in the set is a bird form effigy vessel with facial characteristic features and handle. The piece appears to have a crack along the side which was covered with a piece of tape to hold it in place and prevent further cracking. Date unknown on tape-repair but seems to have been a long time ago by the aging on the material. Both are excellent decorative pieces for any setting.
