British Colonial Wood Column on Custom Stand
About the Item
A single 19th century British Colonial carved wood column with custom Stand. This antique hand carved wooden architectural element from India, which stands just under 6.5 feet in height, features a slender, rounded column with ringed carvings and bulbous shape adorning the top. This piece is nicely displayed upon a 1/2 inch thick, circular-shaped, custom iron base (which is included). The wood is has a nice patina showing its age and prior history of use, with subtle, warm red tones. This 19th century British Colonial column would make a great decorative object, adding nice height and architectural interest within your home or office, perhaps filling an otherwise empty corner.
