You are viewing a pair of antique Italian bronze statues depicting Mercury and Victory The statues are circa 1880 and signed by the artist Giambologna which was the working name of of the Flemish sculptor Jean de Bologne (please see close up photo) Signature is on the bottom of the back of the leg Circa 1880 One statue depicts Mercury - or Hermes - who was the messenger of the Gods The other shows Victory - also known as Nike in Greek mythology, who was also associated with other Roman deities, particularly Jupiter and Mars Good size at almost three feet tall each - 84 inches The patina and casting of the bronze is superb, very detailed Both stand on round marble pedestal bases Offered in great shape ready for home use right away We ship to every corner of the planet - including the US - please get in touch for a shipping quote
