Grand Tour Era, Mixed Specimen Marble & Gemstone Obelisk

About the Item

Continental, 19th century. A grand tour era (possibly Italian) obelisk constructed with a stepped black marble square base, a highly decorated mixed material stem which consists of malachite, lapis, granite, marble and other semi-precious stones. Accenting the Inlaid column is floral / foliate motifs inset by malachite and other semi-precious stones.
