This was the most expensive way to house cinema equipment back in the midcentury. Probably intended to be used for a cinematographers filters or exposure meters or small lenses. Piece looks unused and was found in storage with other pristine motion picture equipment we recently added to our gallery collection in Dallas. We have a good supply of these in well patinated condition (please ask) but this is the only one showing to be as new. Makes for a wonderful Industrial display piece on the shelf, coffee table or placed in a corner near a tripod mounted camera. Very decor usable due to its petite size. Looks miniature in many ways.
