About the Item

This is a very interesting piece hand made in terracotta by the Italian artist Franz Sartori. This orange disk is an abstract artwork that was handmade in terracotta in 1972 by the artist during his staying in Milan. The terracotta disk is patinated with a mat color orange and black on the front surface. The solid orange color is very attractive and energizing. The back is raw. Franz Sartori was born in Milan in 1927. Graduated in Paris, he studied also at the Trinity Hall College in the Usa and at the University UET in Bruxelles. He was a researcher and a teacher in Applied Science and Industrial Design, at the London College in London and at the University ESPI in Paris. He was a very talented artist and a man of art culture. He won many awards all over the world, such as the Honor Europremio in Stoccolma in 1970, Golden Medal by the Italian President of Republic in 1975. His artworks are present in many public and private collections in Europe and also in the USA. The piece is completed by a plexi support for table standing contemporary production. The artwork will be delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity.
