This wonderful and commanding signed stainless steel wall sculpture is a combination of combining old world with the Industrial, modern with ancient objects. This is where this west coast artist gets his inspiration. Jim Martin does allegorical works in steel. His signed Minimalist sculptural forms are elegant, refined yet hints the past. It is signed Martin 01/ 1/15. It is an edition of 15. The top square box is 2: D from the wall. It hangs from a cleat on the wall with steel suspending cable connecting the two forms. Fantastic! It is from 2001.
