About the Item
This simultaneously bold yet subtle Mid-Century Modernist Abstract Brutalist Sculpture in Cut Bronze is in the manner of Curtis Jeré, and originates from the United States, Circa 1970. Features a rectilinear base in molded concrete from which two bronze cylinders rise to support the elevated body of the sculpture. Composed of rectangles in cut bronze with concave curves along the sides of each, these elements are arranged with a lovely balance of regular placement and intuitive arrangement, artfully executed and creating lovely interactions with negative space and scale between the body of the sculpture and the base. The smooth bronze finish of the sculptural elements contrasts beautifully with the rough natural texturing of the concrete, creating a firm yet materially intriguing piece. This sculpture will style beautifully in a wide array of settings and spaces, adding reserved elegance with its placement, from Mid-Century Modernist to Brutalist and Contemporary Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
