A 16th century roman style marble column fragment circa 1550. This Solomonic marble column is mounted onto a bespoke steel base. A fascinating, intricately worked antique. We can imagine this fragment of Ancient Rome being discovered and brought back to Great Britain as part of a Grand Tour. In addition to this piece, we have two further smaller fragments form the same source. Blue plinth not included.
