About the Item

Spinosaurus Claw Species: Spinosaurus Period: Cretaceous (approx. 112–93 million years ago) Origin: Morocco Dimensions: 18 × 6 × 11 cm This well-preserved fossil claw comes from Spinosaurus, one of the most distinctive theropod dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period. Native to what is now North Africa, Spinosaurus is renowned for its elongated jaws, conical teeth, and potential semi-aquatic lifestyle. Collected from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco, this specimen exhibits the robust curvature and pointed tip characteristic of predatory claws, likely used for grasping prey or navigating its riverine habitat. Measuring 18 cm in length, it is a striking example of Cretaceous theropod anatomy—both scientifically significant and visually impressive. It is estimated that Spinosaurus reached lengths of up to 12 to 18 meters, making it one of the largest known carnivorous dinosaurs. This piece is mounted on a custom acrylic box. This art object offers a distinctive and unique touch that can transform any space, making it a point of conversation and admiration.
