A vintage carved and painted wood splash board from Papua, New Guinea. This decorative carved wood splash board (also commonly referred to as a wave splitter) from Papua, New Guinea is from the Milne Bay region, Iwa and Gawa Islands. These boards are typically used in the front of a canoe to protect from splashing. The board features a beautifully carved front and it's original white, red and blue paint, which is nicely aged. This board is presented on custom black metal Stand. This vintage Papua, New Guinea splash board will add interest and intrigue decoratively displayed upon a console table.
