About the Item

This is a charming and delightful piece of 1950's Alpine design! We cannot get over how endearing this goat's face is! In good condition with small signs of its age and use, and still working after some 70 years of ringing, this wall mounted bell is very much in the the style of the ever popular Austrian designer Walter Bosse, known for his black patinated brass figurines, such as the hedgehog ashtray. The bell is operated by a metal pull chain which is fastened to the wall mounting with a spring and rings easily. The black painted wall mounting can be fixed to the all with screw or nail through an eyelet at the top end. Thanks to its slightly rustic, yet modernist design, this will make for a playful wall decoration in any chalet, cabin, lodge or country retreat. You may even use it as your door bell! Dimensions: Height incl. chain 60 cm (23.6 in) Width 8.5 cm (3.4 in) Depth 14.5 cm (5.7 in) Packed with extra care for safe shipping! Please note: With a lifetime of stories behind them, our vintage design items come with a bit of character. Like the best of us, they may have picked up some scratches and scuff marks, acquired patina, and that original shine may have faded a little. And like with most of us, the internal struggles are not always visible to the outside world. Our second-hand items may not fulfil state-of-the art safety standards and codes in your region. Inner faults may exist that were missed by us. Please always consult with a certified professional before installing any electrical items.
