18th-19th C. Italian rock crystal ball/orb on a later Italian giltwood stand, in two parts The rock crystal ball/ orb European possibly French or Russian The stand early 20th century carved giltwood and polychromed pedestal base. A magnificent large specimen antique 155mm rock crystal ball/orb. The clarity and atmospheric 'landscape' contained in this museum quality Rock Crystal example is extraordinary. The weight and density of this specimen is significant, no flaws observed. Originally was a drop pendant on a large and important chandelier. Retains the drilled holes at the bottom. This work can be hung if desired. Resting on a fine carved giltwood and polychromed pedestal base. stand. Overall Measurements As pictured on the stand 9-inches high 6-Inch diameter Rock Crystal Ball/Orb Alone 6-inch diameter, 155mm The Giltwood and polychromed pedestal base alone measures 4-inches high, the diameter of the top is 4.5-inches, the base has a 6-Inch diameter base.
