8" Neuropteris? Species Fern Fossil Natural Specimen over 300 million years old.
Discovered in PA. Colors occurred naturally over time through fossil mineralization process. The fossil has been lightly sealed to help with preservation. The stand will come as a gift with the fossil if you like. (Let us know if you do not want the stand.) Since this is a prehistoric fossil it will show its age (of course!) potentially such as cracks, pits, etc. We do our best to find the nicest possible items with the least bothersome imperfections. Photographing the shades on this one was tricky so we'll try to describe: It is mainly a sort of off-black color with white fern leaves and some golden-rust colored fern leaves etc. We think on a neutral background the colors would look most like the first photo, but this is just our guess.
