This combination specimen from the DRC features a metallic etched, octahedral carrollite on a fascinating matrix comprised almost entirely of a single calcite crystal growing in a rhombohedral habit with four whole faces showing zero evidence of any contact with the pocket. The matrix also features secondary metallic chalcopyrite crystals growing with the calcite. An aesthetic piece that tells its own story.
