A Cretaceous period calcite septarian nodule, from Utah, resting on custom marble & brass plated stand. Exceptional crystaline interior shapes. Mid century modern stand (resting on, not attached!). Note on base: Sea Bottom Chalk Nodule, Cretaceous Period, 70 Million Years. Crystalized with Barite and Calcite. 6.6 lbs. Acquired for a Palm Springs, CA mid century modern home. 8" across, 6" h., 3 1/8" d., With Stand 7 5/8" h., 4.5" d.
