About the Item

A wonderful example of a Cretaceous mosasaur. The original Halisaurus arambourgi mosasaur mandibles and vertebrae, measuring 2.9ft, include a well-preserved, near-complete skull, lower jaws and teeth, detailing preservation throughout the internal skull and quadrate. This is an extraordinary discovery; the specimen's entirety has been preserved exceedingly well, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find today, especially complete specimens that are original and commonly damaged in preparation or filled with resin. This intriguing fossil statement will undoubtedly take centre stage, whether wall-mounted or set in the centre stage of a study or lounge, for a stunning display. Genus: Mosasaurus. Halisaurus arambourgi. Age: Late Cretaceous, 86.3 to 66 million yrs. Origin: Ouled Bouali, Morocco, NWA. L: 97 cm W: 60 cm D: 14 cm W: 50 Kg
