A wonderful example of a Solnhofen Aeger eichsatt shrimp, surmounted in our AES etched brass stand, created to a high museum standard. the fossil limestone plate conserved for the perfect exhibit and decoartive feature. A marvellous curiosity that will stimulate and intrigue, a genuine talking-point piece. The shellfish naturally exhibiting nineteen segmented parts, all decapod crustaceans are made up of this number; the crustacean's abdominal segments are named cephalothorax and pleon, both segment types are clearly defined along with several pereiopods, commonly referred to as the appendages, legs and antennae. Now captured in time on this wonderful lithographic Solnhofen limestone plate dating up to 155,000,000 years ago.

he Glossopteris plate is excellent fossil preservation of the archetypical ‘sage’ shaped leaf embedded within the once soft matrix, creating a definitive display of leaves, and the reverse of this plate has a similarly beautiful display of Glossopteris Leaves exhibiting a lovely palette of colour.
Plants are multicellular, photosynthetic eucaryotes. The oldest known land plant body fossils are Silurian in age. Fossil root traces of land plants are known back to the Ordovician era. The Devonian was the critical time interval during which land plants flourished, and Earth experienced its first “greening” of the land. The earliest land plants were small and simple and probably remained close to bodies of water.
