About the Item
This complete fossil starfish from Erfoud, Morocco, is from the specie petraster (extinct now). It was alive during the Ordivician geologic era (around 485 to 443 million years ago).
It is very well preserved, as starfish tends to disintegrate after their death. We can see it's endoskeleton in 3 dimensions, making it a collector piece for it's quality of details and texture of fossilization.
The stand is hand made for it, and the plate can be removed from it.
