Geode Slice with Amethyst Formation in the Centre Surrounded by Blue Agate

About the Item

An exquisite agate slice with amethyst and white quartz. This piece reflects the beauty of a natural wonder. The front has been completely polished, highlighting the deep grey or blue color of the agate whilst the heart of the piece hides a beautiful amethyst crystal, bordered by a layer of white quartz. The perimeter of the piece presents traces of the rough basalt and the back of the piece is in its natural rough state, allowing us to imagine how was spotted within the basalt matrix, and how was formed inside the cavities of volcanic rock millions of years ago. It’s a visual delight to see at the front the different varieties of agate in blue or grey tones, the white quartz and the amethyst, all expressed in thin lines creating concentric circles around the heart of the piece - the sparkling amethysts crystals. The piece is very decorative due to the mix of colors presented here; grey, white and lilac, and is displayed on a custom metal stand. This exquisite can be also sold as a pair, together with another piece from the same geode. The dimensions of the stand can be customized as per client's request. This piece was legally and ethically sourced directly in the prestigious mines of Uruguay, South America. Uruguayan amethyst is internationally recognized as being the finest and most aesthetic amethyst in the world, due to its intense deep purple coloration, the large size of its peaked crystals, and its durability. These crystals were formed over 120-140 million years during the Cretaceous period, and as all of our pieces are formed naturally, they are completely unique and unrepeatable natural wonders of art.
