About the Item
Rare Natural Artwork: Rare Blue and White Lace Agate Geode with Striped Patterns, All-Intact
Description
Brazil is one of the world’s top producers of agate, and occasionally a geode like this one is unearthed. This rare agate slice combines special characteristics into a perfectly intact piece, bringing gorgeous aesthetics composed by the dozen continuous agate laces of intense colors—sure to elevate your collection or space with a natural artwork.
Over millions of years, nature formed the white and blue agate layers, weaving them into an intricate pattern of laces. It began with deep blue layers, one after another, and for an unknown reason, the color suddenly changed to white laces, with each lace showcasing a tiny line of blue. This gradual process created a dramatic, bold drawing, condecorated with a purple amethyst interior.
Another rare characteristic of this agate geode is its intact continuity. The agate laces flow seamlessly throughout the entire piece, and amazingly, no cracks can be spotted.
A top-tier agate geode, it will look perfect on your gallery shelf or as a standout addition to your décor, leaving friends in awe. Check out the photos for more details, and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or special requests. 🤍
You may be wondering how the lace agate layers formed.
It’s fascinating: agates typically form inside bubbles or cavities in igneous (volcanic) basalt. Over time, these cavities fill with water rich in silica. As the water slowly evaporates, it leaves behind layers of silica gel, which harden into bands. Each layer contains different impurities, resulting in the distinctive colored bands you see. Fantastic, right?

E2D Crystals
E2D stands for Edivan, Elizandro, and Denny, the 3 Toazza brothers who compose this Family Owned Business and all share a passion for the finest Crystals. As a family, we were lucky to be born and live in Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: 'The World's Amethyst Capital'. Our story begins in the 1970s, when our father had a small-scale industry of Amethyst, Agate, and Citrine, originating our passion for Crystals and Minerals. After years in the void, but always being surrounded by these fantastic crystals, we decided that it was time to bring our dreams to reality, and in 2020 we started E2D with a Mission: Every item we sell is Ethically Sourced from small miners and lapidaries, leading the path for the development of the whole supply chain, especially for the ones who need more, the miners.

Rare Blue Lace Agate with Clear Quartz Geode Slice, Natural Geological Art
Located in Ametista Do Sul, BR
Natural Agate Slice with Stunning Banding Patterns, Natural and Undyed
▫️ Description
With an extraordinary growth pattern, this agate slice defies logic, leading to an intriguing question: How could a crystal layer develop between the agate's natural bandings? This one-of-a-kind, high-grade piece is a genuine form of geological art, the perfect gift for an Agate lover, or the piece to start conversations as a decorative masterpiece.
The natural drawings first started as a dark green banding, which evolved into blue and white agate laces. After these laces, a geological miracle occurred, where a layer of amethyst crystal formed, adding hints of clear quartz and purple to the geode, leaving us to wonder how it came to be. To crown it all, in the final stages of its evolution, blue lace agate formed, allowing only white layers to develop in its center.
It is all-natural, with the perfect, delicate lines growing intact, this piece is a true natural artwork. We decided to display it in a custom-made stand, enabling you to enjoy both sides of this specimen.
You might wonder, "How did the blue lace layers form?" Agates usually develop in volcanic basalt cavities, filled over time with silica-rich water that leaves behind layers as it evaporates. While this explains the colorful bands, the crystal layer between the agate layers remains a mystery. Fascinating, isn't it?
Check out the photos and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or specific requests. 🤍
