Incredible Deep Purple Amethyst Tower - Complete Half Geode with Agate border

About

An exquisite and absolutely impressive large half geode, resembling a towering crystal column. This breath-taking piece represents one of the most exclusive amethyst formations to be presented for sale. Evoking a sense of elegant grandeur, the rare beauty of this piece lies in the deep, intense purple violet color of the amethyst crystals that are within the stunning half geode and the particularly high size of their peaks. The scale of this natural wonder creates an awe-inspiring feeling and is comparable to the finest specimens known, that grace the world's major museums of natural history. The edges of the geode have been polished, revealing a vibrant combination of brown and grey agate, green celadonite and white quartz. The back of the piece is rough basalt, varnished in black and allowing us to imagine how this stunning crystal formation was formed inside the cavities of volcanic rock millions of years ago. It’s very hard to find a complete half geode of these dimensions and form. A one of a kind, museum piece. Whilst being suitably proportioned for interior display (not too wide but impressively tall), the structure sits atop a pallet, hidden below a bespoke white base, which facilitates transportation without disturbing the piece's aesthetic. The piece is also freestanding so it’s possible to remove the stand if desired. This piece was legally and ethically sourced directly in the prestigious mines of Uruguay, South America. Uruguayan amethyst is internationally recognized as being the finest and most aesthetic amethyst in the world, due to its intense deep purple coloration, the large size of its peaked crystals, and its durability. These crystals were formed over 120-140 million years during the cretaceous period, and as all of our pieces are formed naturally, they are completely unique and unrepeatable natural wonders of art.
