Gorgeous and intact, with superb blue and white agate laces (also known as Blue Lace Agate), this agate geode is considered to be of Super Extra quality due to its beauty, formation, and fantastic agate bands surrounding the entire geode. An outstanding piece, this geode is sure to be an amazing addition to your crystal collection or decor space.
The agate patterns are very delicate and showcase millions of years of mineral evolution. They start with gray and blue laces that gradually transition into white and sky blue tones.

You may be wondering how the blue lace layers were formed. It's truly amazing: agates typically form inside bubbles or cavities of igneous (volcanic) basalt and, over time, are filled with layers of water with high concentrations of silica. The water is slowly evaporated, forming a layer of silica gelatin, and then a solid layer is formed. This is a very slow process, and each layer contains different impurities, thus forming different colored bands. Fantastic, right?
