About the Item
All-Natural Agate Artwork: Rare Blue and White Lace Agate Bookmatched Geodes with Amethyst Cores, Intact
▫️ Description
A rare specimen with exceptional aesthetics, this pair of bookmatched agate geodes brings together unique, seldom-seen characteristics in a perfectly intact formation. With world-class aesthetics and finely formed agate laces, the two mirrored halves create a natural artwork, making them a standout addition to any collection or space.
Over millions of years, nature formed the white and blue agate layers, weaving them into intricate lace-like patterns. Deep blue bands appeared first, layer upon layer, until softer sky-blue and white laces emerged. When mirrored side by side, the pair reveals a harmonious natural masterpiece, resembling a painting made with delicate, intentional brushstrokes.
Another rare characteristic of these geodes is their intact continuity. The agate laces flow seamlessly across both halves, and remarkably, no cracks can be seen—only a unique inclusion of an unknown mineral that resembles an arrow, penetrating deep into the agate.
A top-tier bookmatched agate pair, they will look perfect on your gallery shelf or as standout décor, leaving friends in awe. Check out the photos for more details, and feel free to send us a message if you have any questions or special requests. 🤍
You may be wondering how the lace agate layers formed.
It’s fascinating: agates typically form inside bubbles or cavities in igneous (volcanic) basalt. Over time, these cavities fill with water rich in silica. As the water slowly evaporates, it leaves behind layers of silica gel, which harden into bands. Each layer contains different impurities, resulting in the distinctive colored bands you see. Fantastic, right?

E2D Crystals
E2D stands for Edivan, Elizandro, and Denny, the 3 Toazza brothers who compose this Family Owned Business and all share a passion for the finest Crystals. As a family, we were lucky to be born and live in Ametista do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: 'The World's Amethyst Capital'. Our story begins in the 1970s, when our father had a small-scale industry of Amethyst, Agate, and Citrine, originating our passion for Crystals and Minerals. After years in the void, but always being surrounded by these fantastic crystals, we decided that it was time to bring our dreams to reality, and in 2020 we started E2D with a Mission: Every item we sell is Ethically Sourced from small miners and lapidaries, leading the path for the development of the whole supply chain, especially for the ones who need more, the miners.
