Pair of Citrine and Amethyst Geodes
▫️ Description
Coming from the same geode, this small pair of Cathedrals displays beautiful color, balance, and formation. The Amethyst shows clean, well-formed points with a deep purple tone, while the Citrine brings a orange color with shiny crystals.
Their formation is another highlight. The thin basalt “skin” wraps around the druzy, creating natural flowers or stalactite shapes along the interior. These formations appear because chalcedony formed early in the geode’s development, and the druzy crystals grew later on top of it.
Both specimens were originally one geode that was cut into two. The Citrine was carefully heat-treated to bring out its best color tone — a common and accepted process for Brazilian Citrine — resulting in a bright and harmonious pair.
